Administrative workers will help people with disabilities

Minister of Information Society and Administration, Ivo Ivanovski, and Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Dime Spasov, attended the awarding certificates for trained employees, as part of the project "Administration Accessible for People with Disabilities". From October to December 2014 civil servants attended training courses ; The purpose of the project was to create better conditions for persons with disabilities in exercising their civil rights and obligations.

 

Ivanovski said that this was an example of how the government pursues reforms in administration, in order to make it a more service- oriented. ”The ”Secret client” survey carried out in 2014, has shown the necessity of such administrative employees training, especially in institutions that didn't have enough funds to build disabled access ramps, said Ivanovski.

 

Minister of Information society and administration announced that the government will continue to conduct trainings in order to make administration more accessible for people with disabilities. Government previously enabled trainings for sign language interpreters for deaf people. Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Dime Spasov, said that the overall training covered 776 employees in institutions.
