Skopje, 22nd of December 2015

Within 'the EduDay' event, Minister of Information Society and Administration Marta Arsovska Tomovska presented awards to the winners of the competition organized by Microsoft Macedonia for the teachers in primary and secondary schools.

Awards were divided into three categories: Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE); most innovative teacher within the Microsoft MIXathon Challenge and Hour Code. The winners of the first two categories will be representing Macedonia at regional and world competitions.

"Innovative teachers from Macedonia, who turn their classroom into interesting and a fun learning environment, have proven themselves beyond borders for four years in a row. Our teachers have won first places in regional and global innovative educator Microsoft forums", said Arsovska Tomovska, adding: "This once again is a proof of a successful collaboration between the Ministry of Information Society and Administration and Microsoft". She underlined the signing of Memorandum of Cooperation in Education in March this year, enabling the use of new information technologies in overall educational process.

"The use of new technologies eases access to information, enables interaction, eases the communication and most importantly, increases the chances for the young people to participate in labour market", Arsovska Tomovska said.
