A free of charge Internet club opened in Krivogastani Municipality, within ’The World in Hand’ Project

Deputy Minister of Information Society and Administration Timco Mucunski and the Mayor of Krivogastani Municipality Toni Zatkoski have officially launched a new, free of charge internet club within ’The World in Hand’ Project of the Ministry. It’s the 31-st free Internet Club that has been opened in the Republic of Macedonia.

 

"Since 2007, The Government has continuously implemented this project in several Municipalities in the country to ensure a free Internet access for the population in order to bridge digital divide", Mucunski said, expressing satisfaction with the excellent cooperation between the Ministry and the Municipality.

 

"Having such a free of charge Internet Clubs is important for the community and its surroundings", The Mayor of Krivogastani Municipality Toni Zatkoski said. The computer equipment and furniture were provided by The Ministry, whereas the location, Internet connection and a person who works at the club, by the Krivogastani Municipality. Since the project has proved to be very successful, a free Internet Club network was extended to three more municipalities in Macedonia this year: Lipkovo, Veles and Krivogastani.
