Belgrade, April 4th, 2019

Today, line ministers in charge of digitalization from the Western Balkans signed the regional Agreement on Roaming Price Reduction, during the Digital Summit in Belgrade, R. Serbia. This ensures continuous implementation of Digital Summit Conclusions.

Signatories of the Agreement agree that additional reduction of roaming prices is necessary to completely cover all end-users in the Western Balkans region.

This implies that the maximum roaming retail charges in the Western Balkan region would correspond to the price of roaming services in accordance with the rules "Roam Like at Home", applicable in the European Union, no later than July 1st 2021. The countries assumed the responsibility to make all needed preparatory steps.

The Agreement anticipates introduction of an introductory transitional regime for roaming services as of July 1st 2019.
