Signed contract for designing electronic shops

The Minister of information society and administration, Ivo Ivanovski MA, and the owner of the Akseltra DOOEL Export-Import, Skopje, Admir Beciragic, signed today a contract for one-year hosting of 31 web shops for legal entities.

 

“It is about a project developed in the first quarter which covered an offer of 31 business plans. Public procurements followed with electronic auction conducted by the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, with possibility for choosing the best ones. These plans need to be elaborated within a three-month period”, said Minister Ivanovski after signing the contract.

 

All interested legal and physical entities in the Republic of Macedonia can take part in the competition of best e-business plans for opening electronic shops.

 

The most successful five electronic shops will be awarded by the Ministry of Information Society and Administration with another free use year, and with an additional catalogue for 50 products.

 

Among the companies which got the right to be users of electronic shops are the Fornet, Magna, Wine Online, Invest Media, Totem Design, Mobil Stop, and others. “In the next period, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, an advertisement will be published for additional 50 web shops”, pointed out Minister Ivanovski.

 

Answering a journalist’s question about the trend of purchasing products via the Internet, the Minister pointed out that according to facts from the State Statistics Bureau for the first quart of 2011 only 4.1% Internet users had ordered products and services via the Internet for personal purposes, and over the last 12 months about 6.7% users had done that, mostly for buying clothes and sports equipment.

 

The Minister expressed his satisfaction with the increasing percentage of citizens in Macedonia who use the Internet, both in households and working offices. The facts show that 52% of the citizens use the Internet in their homes, and as many as 88% in their offices.
