MISA gets the certificate for ISO 9001:2008 standard introduction

The Ministry of Information Society and Administration has completed the ISO 9001:2008 standard introduction and made a significant improvement in efficient managing internal processes and service delivery to final users.

 

The Manager of the certification house TUV Austria, Dejan Lazarov, presented the Minister of information society and administration Ivo Ivanovski with a certificate, pointing out that there work on this plan would also continue in the next period with other institutions. “The Ministry of Information Society and Administration was the first government institution that was granted a certificate by the certification house TUV Austria” – said Lazarov at the press-conference. /p>

 

This standard is a part of the ISO 9000 group of standards related with implementation of the best practices in quality managing organizations.

 

“The Ministry started this standard implementation in 2011, and in the second half of the same year documented 21 processes and 64 procedures. At the beginning of 2012, the system was put in function and trainings were conducted in order to familiarize employees with standardized procedures and their implementation in everyday work” – said Minister Ivanovski.

 

Implementation of the ISO processes and procedures has covered a wide range of the Ministry’s work, including fields such as: strategic and current planning, realization of internal processes in the MISA’s work, services that the MISA offers to users and work monitoring and improvement.

 

So far, a number of institutions have completed certification, among which: the General Secretariat, Secretariat of European Affairs, Ministry of Education and Science, Energy Agency, Agency for entrepreneurship support in the Republic of Macedonia, etc. Furthermore, about 50 institution have started or come to the final stage of the ISO standard implementation, which proves the continual focus of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on improving work quality in administration of our country.
