Opening of the 2013 World Summit in Geneva Geneva

The Minister of information society and Administration Ivo Ivanovski is taking part today in the 2013 World Summit Forum on Information Society held in Geneva, Switzerland. He had his addressing at the morning session of ministers and talked about the digital dividend.


During the day, Minister Ivanovski will participate in the panel discussion “Improvement of Education by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)”, moderated by John Davies, Vice President of the Intel World Ahead Program. Minister Ivanovski will also have meetings with Fadi Chehade, Executive of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).


In the next days the World Summit Forum on Information Society will focus on the future of the information and telecommunication technologies (ICT). The participants will take part in discussions on a great number of various topics such as the ICT infrastructure, cyber security, e-learning, e-health, e-agriculture, media, accessibility and ethics.


Government ministers, business and civil sector representatives will discus on: authority of women in information society, monitoring of climate changes, ICT innovations and standards, security of the cyber space in the world without borders and young people and information and communication technologies.
