Arsovska Tomovska at the ′Demo Day ′Event

Skopje, 20th February 2015

Deputy Minister of Information Society and Administration, Marta Arsovska Tomovska, attended the 'Demo Day' event, organized by Macedonian-US company 'NewMan’s Business Accelerator'. Macedonian startup companies were presenting ideas and products to representatives of two investment funds from Great Britain and Slovenia during the event. The best startups will have an opportunity to get a financial support and enter a foreign market.

Arsovska Tomovska said that Government of the Republic of Macedonia is a partner of the business accelerator and will help in every way possible . "The Government has recently made a public call for co-financing grants for young entrepreneurs with startups in amount up to 30.000 euros, out of which 85% will be financed by the government and 15% by the companies themselves. The overall amount of the program is 600.000 euros, and I urge startups that are part of the business accelerator to apply in order to get support from the government", said Arsovska Tomovska.

Domestic companies have also expressed an interest in supporting domestic startups. The purpose of this accelerator is to offer a model for linking students, companies, universities , investors and public institutions.
