Work meeting with MASIT

Minister of Information Society and Administration, Ivo Ivanovski, and his deputy Marta Arsovska Tomovska, held work meeting with representatives of Macedonian Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies – MASIT. Ivanovski informed the attendees about the ongoing activities in the ICT field, as well as the upcoming ICT projects for the information society development.

 

Ivanovski said: " Third- and fourth-year university students shall receive tablets with keyboards, if they come from families with a household income below the average wage . We hope to have positive impact on both the students and the private sector and thus influence the economic growth", he said.

 

Furthermore, the participants discussed about the second project, 300.000 tablets for pupils across the country, and the ways to include domestic ICT companies in creating new ecosystem. The efforts to reduce the so called 'brain drain' of talented ICT students and cadres , was also topic of discussion.

 

"The only way to achieve this, said Slagjan Mihajlovski- President of MASIT ICT Chamber of Commerce, is through stimulating export in order to create conditions for Macedonian staff to stay in the country and work on prestigious projects".
