Advanced IT Skills Training for 220 unemployed persons

Minister of Information Society and Administration Ivo Ivanovski and Minister of Labor and Social Policy Dime Spasov elaborated the public call for advanced IT skills training, for 220 long-term unemployed active job seekers.


The participants who finish the training period, which will last three to six months, are to receive internationally recognized certifications. There will be trainings for Java Programming and Web Applications Programming. The financial assistance for the project worth MKD 18 million was given through the EU IPA programme.


"Together with Chambers of Commerce we have identified IT skills which are deficient on the labour market", said Minister Ivanovski, adding that the project would additionally include CAD training for 50 persons, so there will be an additional public call announcement.


Minister of Labor and Social Policy said: "The total number of individuals who attended trainings was 471 in 2014. 246 persons out of 375 who successfully completed the trainings, already got jobs", said Spasov, adding that the project has proven to be 65 percent successful.
