Conference on Interoperability in Digital Europe

Within the Twinning project “Support to the Civil Service and Public Administration Reform”, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Information Society and Administration, Marta Arsovska Tomovska and Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, H.E. Ms. Renate Kobler, addressed at the Interoperability conference organized by the Ministry of Information Society and Administration and the Austrian Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development

 

"The 'Support to the Civil Service and Public Administration Reform' project was launched on 1st of December 2014 and it will take 12 months to complete. It is implemented in partnership with the Agency for Economic Cooperation and Developmentand is being funded by the European Union, under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) Component I: Transition Assistance and Institution Building (TAIB)", Arsovska Tomovska said.

 

The main goal is to develop and implement a mechanism to connect all existing and future processes, systems and information in the public administration in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as to give recommendations for sustainable population register. It’s a contributor to the further improvement of the quality of administrative services for citizens and business, and development of e-government in the country.

 

According to Deputy Minister, public administration reform is a milestone and a priority of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in the accession process towards EU. The key objective is to ensure an efficient and transparent service for citizens and economic entities, and other legal entities, ensuring protection of citizens' rights and partnership with civil and business sector. The Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, H.E. Ms. Renate Kobler, emphasized that Austria has developed a strategy for e-Government and the platform digital Austria, so that every citizen in Austria could use all e-Government features at every level, any time.

 

Mr. Lukas Holub, Head of Section for Political and Justice and Home Affairs Issues and Mr. Christian Rupp, Federal Chancellery of Austria, also addressed at the opening session. Igor Crvenov and Filip Manevski from MISA, spoke about actions taken to improve interoperability.
