Arsovska Tomovska at the 'Mobile World Congress 2016' in Barcelona

On 22nd and 23rd of February, a delegation led by the Minister of Information Society and Administration Marta Arsovska Tomovska attended the Ministerial conference in Barcelona within the 'Mobile World Congress 2016'. For 11 years, the Ministerial Programme has been an influential forum that brings together senior international officials to discuss a number of issues related to the mobile industry.

 

Arsovska Tomovska met with counterparts and other senior officials to exchange experiences and views about various ICT topics and she was presented solutions for the implementation of 'Government Cloud ' and '112' projects.. Minister Arsovska Tomovska also participated in panel discussions: 'Evolving frameworks to accommodate existing and future market changes' and 'Mobile as the foundation for digital identity', where participants discussed about setting out new regulatory goals and objectives given new market demands, as well as the challenges and opportunities associated with the new digital identity.In addition, the delegation attended the session held by Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of the social networking website Facebook, who was speaking about future of technology and plans in regard to Facebook.

 

The biggest emphasis at the Mobile World Congress was put on 5G and delivering super-fast internet of the future; New achievements in the fields of artificial intelligence and virtual reality were presented by all major world vendors. Moreover, it is considered that 360-degree cameras will soon be used in our everyday lives.
